Latest Updates from Our Project:

Last 24 Hours!
almost 2 years ago – Wed, Jun 01, 2022 at 03:40:32 PM

Greetings Chroniclers

We are on the final day, we have said it in the past updates, and we will repeat the support it has received from all you have completely surpassed our expectations.

We also want to thank the Youtube channel Room and Board for talking about Tales from the Gods in their last video.

Here is the video if you want to support the channel.

Also, we unlocked the 5th stretch goal.

We can include the ruleset for the multiplayer version of Tales from the Gods. So you can enjoy it in its solo mode or with your friends. We have playtested this ruleset on some occasions now, and we can say the game can turn really fun.

We have received questions from some backers about a retail pledge for stores. We are going to include a retail option on the pledge manager. Back now, for any tiers that include a digital copy, we will count your pledge as credit for the retail pledge.

Today's prompt is the following.

Tonalli: I appear before the demigod and tell them that I don't want to fight them. I know their mission and try to negotiate with them not to go through with it. Otherwise, they are only a tool for the other god, and they will be disposed of when they end. Then I offer them the option to work for me, and I'll give them a power boost in exchange for protecting my followers from external threats.

Thanks for all your support! We are eager to see how the next 24 hours turn out.

Stretch Goal Unlocked & Last 48 Hours
almost 2 years ago – Tue, May 31, 2022 at 04:32:27 PM

Greetings Chroniclers

4th stretch goal unlocked! The surprises never stop in this campaign, even as we approach the end.

This stretch goal is one of our favorites, the coexistence of technology and deities is not explored in many stories, but it can open up a lot of exciting concepts and plots. Inside the books, there are some prompts close to this theme, but they are near the final prompts, and you don't pass a lot of time in the modern setting. This stretch goal opens a new era for your gameplay.

The next stretch goal on the horizon is the following.

Since its conception, Tales from the Gods has been a single-player game. During development, we explored the idea of making a ruleset to make cooperative play possible. We want to add it to the books as an extra if you want to share it with someone else.

Also, as a special treat for the last 48 hours, we will reveal another stretch goal.

Tales from the Gods is set in a world already created by some other entity; with this stretch goal, you now can explore the part of world creation and fill it with life. So let your imagination free and create wonderful worlds.

Today's prompt is the following.

Tonalli: They changed my saga to make me a more friendly and compassionate deity. I wasn't a destruction god, but I wasn't as protective of my follower either. I was a more playful trickster god that enjoyed pulling pranks on mortals. The changes came after neighboring villages started attacking my followers' village; the village's main preacher changed some of my stories to present me as a defender of the village and comfort the other villagers.

Thanks for all your support. Remember to share the campaign with your friends. With your help, we know we can reach the next stretch goal before the campaign ends.

Final 3 days!
almost 2 years ago – Mon, May 30, 2022 at 02:44:56 PM

Greetings Chroniclers

We are in the final days of the campaign. All the support it has gotten these days is a delightful surprise for all the Axo team. Thanks to all that have spread the news of the campaign and shared their enthusiasm for Tales from the Gods.

Today’s prompt is the following.

Tonalli: It may surprise some followers, but I have always presented myself as a deity with a broad sphere of influence. Peace and war are opposite, but the contradictions link them. I will always protect my people regardless of the situation. If they need a deity to guide them and protect them during the war, I will do it to ensure they can enjoy peaceful times again.

Thanks again for all your support. Remember to share your answer with us in the comments below and on social media with your friends. The following hours are as important as the first ones, and we hope more people support this book.

Stretch Goal Unlocked & Final Week
almost 2 years ago – Fri, May 27, 2022 at 02:51:47 PM

Greetings chroniclers

We have unlocked another stretch goal, and we are officially on the campaign's last week.

Relationships with mortals can be tricky if seen from the perspective of an immortal being, and many things can be completely unexpected or foreign about the other for both sides. A way to bridge these perspectives is to form a bond with a mortal to become an envoy in the mortal realm, either by creating a mortal those generating a demigod or by taking a mortal under their wing as their champion.

The book already includes many prompts about the interactions of your deity and mortals, so in these thematic prompts, we want to hyper focus on the relationship between your deity and their favorite mortal, from their initial connection to the demise of the mortal and the consequences of that bond.

The new stretch goal on the horizon brings your deity to interact with a modern society, where the concept of faith and belief may have evolved in your followers, and know their rituals may be different. Where technology may have achieved things that before were only possible with miracles. We are eager to see these new stories.

Today's prompt for Tonalli is the following.

Tonalli: I negotiate with those gods to make an alliance and share the power, convincing the mortals that we both are the same entity and it is correct to use either of our names in their pleas for help. If they accept, it may take time some adjusting time, but it is a way for both of us to survive. If they negate the offer, I will remember them and use their memory to remind me that a big ego can be your demise, even for deities.

Thanks for all your support. The whole team will be on the edge of our sits the following days to see how this campaign finishes.

Approaching the Final Week
almost 2 years ago – Tue, May 24, 2022 at 02:52:21 PM

Greetings Chroniclers

We are nearing the campaign's final week and the next stretch goal. The team's excitement and hopes for the campaign are through the roof and only will go higher as we get closer to the finish.

We have received some questions about what kind of deity you can play with this game.

Since its conception, Tales from the Gods has been a game meant to create any story the player wants. We made an effort to make the prompts as neutral as possible to avoid limiting the player's creativity. Many prompts were cut or rewritten in this process, some of them we have recovered for the stretch goals material, but even the thematic prompts were checked to ensure we don't lock the player in a certain style of story or character.

Continuing the story of Tonalli, here is today's prompt.

Tonali: I knew that the ancient being of fear, death, and destruction Arct will find a way to return to wreak havoc on the world again. For years I have created alliances with other divinities, created and supported demigods and mortal heroes, all for this moment. Last time I managed to banish it because of a stroke of luck at the last minute, but I will leave nothing to chance this time. Everything is ready for what I hope will be our last encounter.

Thanks for your support. We will post the next update in three days or when the stretch goal unlocks whatever happens first. Again, remember to share your answer with us in the comments below and on social media.
