Latest Updates from Our Project:

Funded!
about 2 years ago – Fri, May 06, 2022 at 02:37:29 PM

Greetings Chroniclers

We have just reached our funding goal!! We all are super excited about finally reaching our goal and looking forward to the rest of the campaign.

So what's next for us? We will continue to upload updates every three days or when a stretch goal unlocks. The next stretch goal is the following.

During the writing process of the prompt, we focused on being neutral on flavor and theme to ensure the players had the freedom to create the story they wanted. Many prompts and ideas were left on the drawing board. The idea of the gods clashing with primordial beings is present in many cosmogonies, so we wanted to explore this kind of event with stretch goals.

Here is the next prompt with the saga of Tonalli, the Axo divinity

Tonalli: I greet them with joy, telling them that I am happy to see them again. We go over the memories of our love, the good parts, and those that drifted us away. They will always have a special place in my heart, and the memories of our time together have helped me in the rough times as a god. But as happy as those memories were, the reasons we separated are still there, and it's best to continue just as allies. I know how hard it is to be a god, and I will help them gladly in what is to come.

Thanks for your support for Tales from the Gods, and don't forget to share your prompt answer with your friends and on social media.

Greetings Chroniclers

We are almost at the funding goal, and we hope that we have reached the funding goal by the end of the week. The support and love all of you have shown to the campaign is something that keeps our hopes up and optimistic about the future of the game.

Dice Breakers just released an article about the game that explains the core mechanics and gameplay of Tales from the Gods.

You can read the article here.

Continuing with the saga of Tonalli the Axo divinity, we have the following prompt.

Tonalli: I turn their miracles into disasters the following day, making my follower see them as frauds and suspicious of their claims and actions. Then I answer the following prayer with a grandiose act to ensure everyone sees that I am a true god. After my believers drive the demigods away before they leave, I offer them the option of joining me and helping spread my word.

Thanks for all your support, and don't forget to share it with your friends.

Launch Day!
about 2 years ago – Tue, May 03, 2022 at 04:34:34 PM

Greetings Chroniclers

The Tales from the Gods campaign is running!

All members of the Axo team are happy about this project. We have been working on it for a while now, and we are happy with how it is turning out.

This project started during a meeting where Alastor showed their copy of The Thousand Year Old Vampire to the team. We loved the idea and how it was executed in the book, and we started thinking about which other concept could use and fully exploit the TTYOV system. Jaime came up with the idea to make it a game about the story of a deity.

After talking with Tim Hutchings, the creator of the TTYOV, asking for his approval and consent for using his system, the work on this book began.

We had plenty of help and support during the writing phase and plenty more after we launched the free preview on DrivethruRPG.

We will include a written prompt for each update using our mascot Tonalli, the cute axolotl, as a deity.

Tonalli: I use my command over the water to trap it. I can't kill it because it may yield answers about the origin of the gods, but I can't let it roam free. People write the saga of how I use water chains to bring it to the depths again

We’ll bring you the next update in two days or when we reach our funding goal, whatever happens first.
